What is infertility?

Our Mission

Dimbayaa is a loose collective of fertility professionals based in the Gambia and Holland. We strive to promote fertility awareness and development within The Gambia. We aim to make infertility care in all its aspects; education, prevention as well as adequate diagnosis and treatment available and accessible for people in the Gambia.

What we do

At Africmed Clinic, Brusubi, the Gambia, we offer counseling, standardized diagnosis and treatment currently being Ovulation Induction (OVI) and Intra Uterine Insemination (IUI). In the future we hope to further develop and extend this to low cost In Vitro Fertilization (IVF).

Our Vision for the Future

In order to break the taboo and demystify the causes of infertility we aim to develop educational outreach programs, working with local women’s groups. Ideally combined with low threshold mobile clinics providing for early and appropriate diagnosis and treatment of STDs that often lead to infertility.

How can you help

Volunteer Share your time, experience or expertise with us. Students, nurses, social workers, anyone with a passion for working in the sector of Women’s Health is very welcome at Dimbayaa.

Donate Help us fundraising, donate money or supplies. We are in need of laboratory equipment like microscopes and incubators, fertility drugs, ovulation tests etc etc.
